Mass General Brigham 24/7 Virtual Care Terms of Service
24/7 Virtual Care is service through which a patient may initiate a video visit with a provider about a non-emergency health care concern. This service is provided by Mass General Brigham Community Physicians, Inc. and Mass General Brigham Urgent Care, LLC (“Mass General Brigham,” “we,” “us” and “our”). These Mass General Brigham 24/7 Virtual Care Terms of Service supplement, but do not replace, the Mass General Brigham Virtual Care Informed Consent, Patient Gateway Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Notice of Privacy Practices with respect to use of the 24/7 Virtual Care service and virtual visits conducted through use of this service.
Use of 24/7 Virtual Care is currently limited to patients who are physically located in the states of Massachusetts or New Hampshire at the time of the virtual visit. If you are currently outside the state of Massachusetts or New Hampshire, you are prohibited from requesting a 24/7 Virtual Care visit.
Your 24/7 Virtual Care virtual visit will be conducted by a Mass General Brigham physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner. That provider will not have the benefit of information that could be obtained by conducting an in-person examination and, therefore, may not be aware of information that could affect their opinion. The provider may determine during your 24/7 Virtual Care visit that the 24/7 Virtual Care service is not appropriate for your care needs and you should be seen in person by a different provider. You acknowledge that you are aware of and agree to assume the risk of this limitation.
You may or may not be issued a prescription in connection with your 24/7 Virtual Care visit, and some types of medications are not prescribed as part of this service.
The 24/7 Virtual Care encounter will become part of your medical record.
Mass General Brigham 24/7 Virtual Care visits are available only for patients aged 3 and older. 24/7 Virtual Care visits for patients aged 3 through 13 must be initiated by the patient’s parent or legal guardian.
The cost of 24/7 Virtual Care services will vary depending on your health plan type and may not be covered by all insurance plans. Please refer to the list of insurances we accept.
Self-pay patients are charged $130 for a 24/7 Virtual Care visit. This fee specifically covers the virtual visit and does not include any additional costs, such as lab charges, imaging orders, additional visits, or referrals. Please visit this website for information related billing questions.
